We offer a range of staff benefits, excellent training facilities and a modern, well equipped working environment.  We’re committed to enabling colleagues to maximise their potential and enjoy satisfying careers, underpinned by our staff health and wellbeing strategy; ‘Happy, Healthy, Here’.

If our vision, values and ethos appeal to you now is the time to join #Team SFH.

What our staff say about us from our recent anonymous Staff Survey:

'The organisation is a good place to work with strong values and a clear commitment to quality of care and patient experience.'

An extremely worthwhile and rewarding 6-month secondment opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic healthcare professional who is looking to undertake a project that will support Sherwood Forest Hospitals on its journey to outstanding care.

The successful applicant will be responsible for liaising with staff, consulting national guidance, together with local policy and protocols in order to create a specialty specific training matrix to demonstrate what the right person, with the right skills, at the right time actually looks like in an acute hospital environment that cares for patients with a diverse range of healthcare needs.

Subsequent identification of the current levels of compliance will then be used as part of the trust’s governance processes, to which this secondment is closely aligned.

The secondment will conclude with a presented report to the Deteriorating Patient Group.

Interviews for this position will be held week commencing 5th March 2018.

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
