A Specialty Doctor in the Ophthalmology Department is required based at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. This is a basic 10 PA contract and will have an on call commitment of 1 in 8. The post holder maybe required to work on other sites including Newark Hospital.

It is an exciting time to join the Trust, we are on out journey to outstanding. The ophthalmology department has been visited by the royal college and deemed a good and safe place for our patients and for you to work. We have some great opportunities ahead and want to encourage everyone in the team to take part in making the department even better.

The appointee should have had previous experience in Ophthalmology, and preferably, hold relevant qualifications. The post holder will be required to undertake diabetic retinopathy screening duties.

This is a full-time position but candidates wishing to work part-time or in a job-share are encouraged to apply. If such a person is appointed modification of the job content will be discussed with the appointee on a personal basis. They will be required to devote substantially the whole of his/her time for the appointed sessions to the duties of the post and to give them priority at these times.
