'The organisation is a good place to work with strong values and a clear commitment to quality of care and patient experience.'
We are looking for a full time Specialty Doctor to join our Otolaryngology (ENT) team.
You will be required to undertake clinical and operative work in all aspects of ENT. You may also be required to do sessions at Newark Hospital and potentially at other outreach clinics in the future.
You will join an existing team of consultants and middle grade doctors providing a comprehensive service to the western part of North Nottinghamshire and, in particular, the residents of Mansfield, Ashfield and Newark Districts. This is an enthusiastic department with all consultants and middle grade doctors providing general ENT services with specialist interests. You will be required to demonstrate a wide range of skills and will be asked to work flexibly within the department.
You will be joining the Head and Neck Service at our Trust at an exciting time and you could play a full part. In doing so you would be shaping your local service, developing your leadership and managerial potential. At the moment discussions are taking place to reshape the Out of Hours On Call with Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) and we’re looking to expand theatre operating time and refresh and enhance equipment both in theatre and outpatient clinics. Sub-specialisation of outpatient clinics has started with input from clinical colleagues from NUH which it is intended will be further built upon with the re structure of clinic templates reflecting areas of expertise.
This is a full-time position but if you wish to work part-time or in a job-share you are encouraged to apply. If this is the case modification of the job content will be discussed with you on a personal basis although you will be required to devote substantially the whole of your time for the appointed sessions to the duties of the post and to give them priority at these times.
Candidates for the post must be registered with the GMC at the time of appointment and be eligible to work in the NHS.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
