Sherwood Forest Hospitals (SFH) We are a multiple award-winning, modern and friendly trust, with a growing reputation for providing outstanding care across our three hospitals and in the Mid Nottinghamshire community. We have a stable leadership team, a clear sense of direction and we are working very closely with our health and local authority partners in the Mid Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), to deliver a better future for the population we serve. Our staff and volunteers strive to ensure patients are at the centre of our decision making.
At SFH we value our staff. We know happy, well supported staff provide high quality care to patients. We want all patients to receive the level of care we expect our friends and family to receive and we are making progress with this aim. We have the highest staff engagement scores across the Midlands and in 2018, the Care Quality Commission assessed us as Good Overall and Outstanding for the Care we provide.
We offer a growing range of staff benefits, excellent training facilities and a modern, well equipped working environment. We are committed to supporting colleagues to maximise their potential and enjoy satisfying careers, underpinned by our staff health and wellbeing strategy; ‘Happy, Healthy, Here’.
If our vision and values appeal to you, now is the time to join #Team SFH.
Want to work as part of an award-winning team at one of the happiest Trusts in the country?
At Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust you get to be part of the team helping shape the changing structures of health and social care today.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic colleague to join our team of 8 Consultants providing comprehensive Gastroenterology and Liver services. Most importantly we are seeking someone who will fit in well with our happy and productive team in our very modern and well equipped unit. Subspecialty interests will be very welcome, particularly subspecialty training in hepatology, but we would also welcome expertise in endoscopy training, EUS or GI physiology.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic endoscopy, bowel cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, and nutrition services are already well developed but complementary skills will be very welcome.
As a consultant here at King’s Mill Hospital you will provide outpatient, inpatient and endoscopic Gastroenterology services. You would also participate in the on-call gastroenterology service which includes weekend morning ward rounds and an out of hours GI bleed service (1:8 rota currently). You will also be expected to take part in business planning of Gastroenterology services in collaboration with the other consultants in the department and hospital management.
When you join SFH you also join a team passionate about improving care and treatment options for patients today and in the future. You could make a difference to people like Roger who’s been part of our prostate cancer study for the last five years. You can see the massive difference research has made to him and his family here.
So if you are looking to join a team at a modern and innovative Trust which is easy to get to then let us be your next career move.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
