The Chief Nurse, Suzanne Banks is opening up unique Secondment opportunities for experienced and motivated clinical staff (AHP, Registered Nurses & Midwives) at Band 6 or Band 7, who are aspiring to be leaders or leaders who are aspiring to develop their roles and skills.

This project will be to lead the nursing ESR project, aligning the work to the AHP ESR project. You will need to assist in establishing systems, maximising engagement across the Trust and help to support the senior nursing team to progress the work in a timely and integrated way.

The Chief Nurse Clinical Fellow will also be required to ensure that the project is monitored robustly and there is clear communication with staff, patients and carers to gain the best possible benefits to patient care.

You will be required to present their projects and write up for publishing.

It is essential that you are keen to develop your leadership skills and that you are passionate about motivating staff and managing change to meet and sustain the nursing agenda. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage and work well with key clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary teams at SFH.

The Chief Nurse will ensure that appropriate training for Quality Improvement is provided to the successful candidate

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
