Nottinghamshire Health Informatics Service (NHIS) provides Information, Communication and Technology Services (ICT) across the NHS and local health community. Providing expertise and capability, effectively delivering national and local ICT requirements and continually researching and innovating in an effort to provide technologies that enable our customers to do things better or do better things.
An opportunity has arisen within the Solutions Development Team (Web Development) for a highly motivated, innovative individual to join a team involved in the on-going development of the health communities Internet and Intranet and clinical applications.
The post holder would be expected to use multiple types of programming software to update and develop web sites and applications and support the team in undertaking development and creation of clinical applications.
The post holder would also be expected to be the first point of call for all issues raised from the first line support team and will regularly communicate with them to provide updates on developments which may cause disruptions to any live systems
It is essential that the post holder has a excellent working knowledge of IT Technologies/ Microsoft Windows and Office Applications. GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, NVQ Level 2/3 IT qualification. It would be desirable if the post holder experience in using different programming languages.
